At the same time fonts I had loaded in Suitcase Fusion were not appearing in my font list.

So I went to Extensis found a recommendation about removing fonts from 2 Libraries and clearing font caches this cleared my font issues and to my surprise my palettes started behaving, no more problems.

And now Indesign started to do the same what solved it for me was deleting com.adobe.InDesign.plist stored in usersuserLibraryPreferences.
